Effective visual scientific illustrations
Translating scientific data into clear and informative graphics may be challenging for researchers and clinicians. The Designs that Cell team has consolidated and summarized the eight steps we use for creating eye-catching illustrations to address this issue. These steps encompass both contents- and design-related recommendations and are intended as a practical resource for scientists to develop their visuals, including manuscript figures, scientific poster presentations, and slides for oral presentations.
Effective and engaging infographics
Infographics are accessible and engaging tools for communicating and sharing information, but creating infographics from dense data can be challenging. In this workshop, we will discuss the science behind using infographics for knowledge transfer. We will highlight essential content and design considerations when creating infographics and outline our team’s stepwise approach for creating infographics. We will also provide a curated list of resources for creating infographics.
